Holiday Treat: Christmas in a jar … DIY!

Hello everyone! So as you all know the holidays are just around the corner and what better way to celebrate them other than with FOOD! I mean come on who doesn’t like Christmas snacks and desserts ?! I know for a fact that I do and what makes this holiday treat even better is that no cooking is involved. All you have to do is get a bunch of snacks (very specific ones) and place them all together in a jar (that I will show you how to decorate).

First of all for the ingredients, you will need:

  1. MnM’s (green, red and brown to showcase the Christmas spirit) mnms
  2. Mini white marshmallowsmarsh.jpg
  3. Mini chocolate bars ( the ones I used contained caramel on the inside #heaven)choco

These are the only snacks I used: however you can add as much as you want! For example, I suggest using candy canes, chocolate chips (dark and white), caramel popcorn and other sweet snacks. You can also make it healthy if you’re trying to stay fit and mix different kinds of fruits, such as strawberries, grapes and bananas (just keep in mind the holiday color theme).

Now once you have gathered all of your ingredients, all you need to do is find a jar: I used a small one since I had very few ingredients. However the size of the jar does not matter, it all depends on how many snacks you’d like to put in it.

This is what the jar will eventually look like:all

Later, once you are done with gathering everything inside the jar, you can decorate it using very simple Christmas decorations that you are able to find practically everywhere! For my jar, I used a simple silky red fabric that I tied around the centre of the jar and places in the middle of it, a small simple green bow.

This is what the jar finally looked like:

I hoped you all enjoyed this very simple, no-cooking, DIY, Christmas in a jar! If you need further details, do not hesitate to comment!

À bientôt,
