Becca Champagne Glow Holiday Palette (Review & Swatches)

Processed with VSCO with m3 preset

Highlighters have been all the rave right now, and why shouldn’t they be? They are absolutely gorgeous and perfectly complete any makeup look. Many brands have created their own versions of this wonderful product, but I think we all agree that Becca’s Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed stands out amongst the others. These are probably the most incredible highlighters that give a very natural finish on the skin, and give that “glow from within” look that we all die for.

The beautiful Jaclyn Hill has collaborated with Becca to create one of these beautiful highlighters, which the beauty world has come to know as Champagne Pop, and a few months later, Becca and Jaclyn collaborated once again for the holidays to bring us the Champagne Glow Palette.

Unfortunately, the product I will be reviewing in this post is no longer available as it was a limited edition one, however the individual shades are still available for purchase on several websites. And yes ladies, Pearl has now become a permanent shade in Becca’s line!!

Alright, now on to the actual palette!

The packaging on this thing is very pretty. It’s a very sleek golden case with Becca’s logo and Jaclyn’s signature in white on the front. It comes with a large mirror as well. The whole palette contains a total of 7.20 g of actual product, breaking that down to 2.40 g of product per shade. A full size of one of these highlighters contains about 8.0 g of product.

The palette features three shades: Pearl, Champagne Pop, and Blushed Copper

1. Pearl :

Pearl is one of those very unique highlighters that is unmatched by any of the other highlighters in my collection. I don’t even have a product that’s remotely similar to it. It is a very satin-y white shade that has very finely milled silver specks in it. It gives a very intense stark white glow to the face, and to be honest, on my fair skin tone (I’m a MAC NW 15-20 girl) it almost makes me look pale and ill. I had really high hopes for Pearl but I guess it just wasn’t meant for me. I would imagine it would work a lot better on a more neutral to olive skin tone, and would give a very beautiful subtle glow.

2. Champagne Pop:

The one that started it all! This is seriously one of my favorite highlighters, rivaled only by Becca’s Moonstone and MAC’s Soft & Gentle. It is a very light champagne shade with a very golden undertone to it. It gives the most stunning iridescence when applied to the skin. It also acts great as an eyeshadow. All in all, I would say this is my favorite shade in the whole palette, and I am sure that this shade would compliment many different skin tones ranging from fair to deep. The best part about it is that it’s still available on the Sephora website, so grab it while you still can!

3. Blushed Copper:

I would say that this is the shade I was most surprised by. When I read reviews on this palette, most of the attention was given to either Pearl or Champagne Pop, and very little to almost none was given to Blushed Copper. I had very low hopes for it, however when I first received my palette and swatched it, I fell in love. That’s the beauty of makeup, not everything works for everyone and its okay! But let me tell you guys, this is a beautiful shade. It’s a very deep true copper shade with tiny gold specks in it. I use this shade to warm up my face a little, and I use a very light hand when applying it.

Worth mentioning: These shades work great on their own, but combining Pearl and Champagne Pop results in the most INCREDIBLE color! I’m gonna let the picture do the talking for this one:

Finally, I just wanted to add that the individual pans go for $38 on Sephora, which could be a little pricey if you wish to purchase them all, but Becca’s highlighters are really worth it since they are very versatile and a little goes a very long way!

You can find each individual pan here:
